With Shopify Plus B2B, B2B catalog has been widely used across by merchants to separate visibility, pricing tiers and others towards companies doing b2b business with the store. Current Behavior for b2b catalog is to auto publish products associated to a catalog to be visible on the front end product/collection pages regardless if online store channel publishing is "off". Shopify Launchpad has limitations in setting draft products to active or cannot publish draft status products to a later time and date.
Due to limitations above, merchants are going to painstakingly a manual route to set products as draft if ever the product is associated to a catalog so that b2b customers cannot see the product.
Case scenario that best fits this is when merchants/store owners have their shopify store as a Blended Store (b2b and d2c at the same time). They release new products across channels at the same schedule time and date.
Would be great if mechanic has a task to be able to execute any products from Draft to Active in a scheduled date and time so that everything can be visible for d2c and b2b customers during new release of products at the same time. Would recommend mechanic as a viable solution for this if ever merchant encounter similar.
